This was quite good telling of a town standing divided by those who want to embrace change and jump into the future of wool production and those who wanted to stick with the old ways that they had already known and indeed, their livelihoods. This is a sad tale of progress and how there can be no winners or losers when modernisation comes into play. \\nSome good Christian values on display in this book - loyalty and respect for one's father, however, to what end? loyalty to the point where you know your father will commit murder and vandalism to succeed in his plans? \\nThis book also reminds us of how one small lie can spiral out of control, and how it's best to always be honest, even when it's difficult and it hurts.
