Desperate for a chance to start over, McKenna Ashford accepts her cousin's invitation and moves west with her rebellious younger brother to a not-so-quaint mountain town in Colorado. She discovers that life in Copper Creek is far from what she expected. Having practically raised Robert on her own, McKenna is burdened both with her failure as a parent and her deep conviction to not let her brother throw his life away.
Trusting has never come easily for her - especially in issues of the heart - and that inability to trust is put to the test when she meets U.S. Marshall Wyatt Caradon.
After years on the trail, Wyatt Caradon finds himself at a crossroads. He's brought countless men to justice, but he questions what lasting good his life has accomplished. It's been a while since I've read Tamera Alexander's work. I really enjoyed my few days with McKenna and Robert Ashford. U. S. Marshall Wyatt Caradon wasn't bad either. \\r\\n\\r\\nThe troubles life handed them are heartaching and McKenna shows such strength as she walks through each day loving her brother, caring for orphaned little Emma and slowly opening her heart to Wyatt and his care for them all. \\r\\n\\r\\nWyatt has the life experiences that match McKenna well and that will give her the love and support she needs and doesn't at the beginning know she longs for. \\r\\n\\r\\nEnjoy the story and the moments of sadness and humour!\\r\\n

Wonderful!
I love this book because of the strength that the main characters have in the lord. I mean it was a great romance and fantastic story line too. \\r\\n\\r\\nThis book should be 10 stars not only 5!
