If you liked watching the Series you will enjoy reading this one
Laura recieved her 1st teaching job 12 miles out of town and Almanzo Wilder takes her and picks her up for the weekend no matter how tough the weather is to Laura's relief, she does not enjoy teaching there for 2 months. Happy times for Laura would be going on sled rides with Almanzo and in the spring buggy rides and breaking in horses together! I reccommend you reading Little town on the Praire before reading this one as then you will get a better understanding of Laura and Almanzo I read all of Laura Ingalls Wilder books in order and I found it helpful this book would have to be one of my favourite ones to read out of all the books.
