Vocabulary of the Greek New Testament: Fully Revised and Expanded Edition

A major update of Moulton and Milligan's classic lexicon, Vocabulary of the Greek New Testament Fully Revised and Expanded Edition (VGNT) by Allan T. Loder features 937 new lexical entries along with extensive new papyrological and epigraphical evidence to illuminate the usage of New Testament Greek within its broader Greco-Roman linguistic context.

Moulton and Milligan's original work (1930) was a landmark publication in New Testament scholarship. By drawing on newly discovered papyri and inscriptions, they revised assumptions about the character of NT Greek and presented the common "Koine" Greek of the day as an essential context for understanding its vocabulary.

In this significant expansion and update of the classic reference work, Loder sheds further light on the linguistic environment of NT Greek, incorporating the many additional Koine texts discovered in the last century. By adding 937 entries--now covering every NT Greek word--and thoroughly supplementing existing entries with new primary source evidence, Loder greatly broadens the scope and depth of Moulton and Milligan's classic work.
