You know something funny is about to happen when a book opens with an avocado facial mask. I laughed so many times in this book. The main character, Meri, was quirky and fun. \\nThe Biblical side and lessons in love are so gently woven into the story. If I had a daughter, I'd want her to read it because I know she'd laugh and learn about true love, commitment, and realistic expectations in a relationship. However, the book is just as good for adults. \\nRobin does an excellent job communicating how frustrating men can be when they give us no clue what they really feel, and how annoying it can be waiting for love.

love it!
I long ago lost count of how many times I've read this book! I love it's storyline, the fun and just plain quirky Meri, the romance, the insights into the world of publishing and the beautiful way author Robin Jones Gunn manages to weave biblical lessons throughout the story without feeling like you're reading a sermon. The characters are so real you'll feel like you're catching up with friends. Next time you need a break, take a journey to Glenbrooke.

A delightful read!
Each book in """"The Glenbrooke Series"""" can be read on its own, although reading them as a series gives you the chance to catch up with old friends made in previous books. Waterfalls had me laughing out loud and reading pages out to family as I followed the story of Meri's journey from book editor to movie star. You'll definitely want to share her hilarious adventures with Fred, the inflatable man, a bizarre birthday gift from Meri's whacky aunt. While there may be humour and romance along the way, Meri's journey also takes her deeper into relationship with God as she learns to rest in hope, making it an encouraging book for all of us who need a bit of help in that area. Highly recommended.
