    Excellent Resource

Obviously our Bibles are our first port of call when it comes to raising our children, and operating as families. After that though, I would be hard pressed to think of a better resource than What Your Son Isn't Telling You, when it comes to gaining insight into the needs, hopes, dreams and fears of growing young men. For me the most valuable parts of the book were the excerpts from letters written by teen boys on all different sorts of issues. Some of them encouraged me as a parent, others broke my heart, but all of them gave me insight into how I can best reach my sons through what can be a difficult time of adjustment in their lives. Aimed a little more at mothers, this book would still be a very valuable read for all parents, and certainly brings up excellent ways to pray for our sons, set boundaries for them, but most of all love them and reassure them that next after God, we are there for them, no matter what.
