    Compelling reading

Wow this book was difficult to put down. Neta Jackson has the ability to make her characters live off the page. I am not a fan of books written in first person but this book was so absorbing I didn't even realise it was in first person until half way through it. This is the first in a series that follows the life of Gabrielle Fairbanks, a woman who at the beginning has a nominal faith in God. Gabrielle comes in contact with some of the characters from the Yada Yada Prayer Group, Neta Jackson's previous series, and a number of new, very colourful characters. Through the experiences that Gabrielle goes through, I was taught more about prayer and relying on God. The story covers some difficult issues and doesn't give quaint answers, but rather encourages trust in God. The story does leave you hanging, so it is good that book two is already written. An encouraging book that takes you on a journey about prayer. I loved it. \\r\\n
