3. 75 stars \\r\\nI went up and down about this book. There were times when the explanations and scriptures dragged because they were too much and too long. But it was also an interesting series of stories that came together. Lots of pain in the stories - but some great lessons and quotes too. \\r\\nMy first Lynn Austin book and won't be my last.

What an absolutely fabulous story from Lynn Austin - she once again proves herself to be a master storyteller. I was enthralled from the start to the finish. Any of the three stories told in Wings of Refuge could stand alone. However, they intertwine together so beautifully here. I was deeply touched by this story and witness. I learned a lot along the way, too. Very moving. Highly recommend.

Wings or refuge cleverly intertwines the stories of 3 different lives, in 3 different times, brought together through one person's experiences. I love the way Lynn Austin presents the Christian faith - challenged, explained and applied beautifully in the lives of her characters. This is a story rich in history and poignant in its modern day context to which anyone can relate. A fabulous novel!

I love the way Lynn Austin tells a story and this one was exceptional. She intertwines the story of three different women living in different eras. She stirred my interest in the story of the Jewish people during various times throughout history. Thought provoking and inspirational!
