John Piper is a pastor, theologian, author, and Bible teacher known for his emphasis on the glory of God and finding lasting joy in Him. After studying literature and philosophy at Wheaton College, Piper completed theological studies at Fuller Seminary and a doctorate in New Testament Studies at the University of Munich.
From 1980 to 2013, he served as senior pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis. He later continued his teaching ministry through Desiring God, providing books, articles, sermons, podcasts, and other biblical resources to Christians around the world.
Piper has written more than fifty books, including Desiring God, Don’t Waste Your Life, Providence, and Come, Lord Jesus. His writing frequently explores Scripture, Christian joy, God’s sovereignty, discipleship, missions, suffering, and eternal hope, encouraging readers to treasure Christ and live for the glory of God in every area of life.
