    An essential Old Testament resource

I think this volume is a must for any lay person wanting to get a better grasp on the overarching biblical narrative. The Old Testament is the biblical-theological, redemptive historical narrative that focuses on the promised Messiah. Every book of the Old Testament, linked with good historical and literary comments, all pointing to the fulfillment of the texts in the person and work of Jesus. The Old Testament isn't about you. It's the outworking of God's plan to redeem the world through Jesus Christ His Son. I highly recommend this for anyone that is keen in understanding how the bible fits together as one story.
