How far will a girl go to win back a guy she can't stand? This funny, sweet, and romantic story proves that opposites do attract-and that God has a sense of humor. Samuel Payton is a passionate youth pastor in Virginia, but below the surface, he's still recovering from the blow of a failed business and insecurities he can't shake. His coworker, start-up expert Kimberly Foster, is brilliant, fearless, and capable, but years of personal rejection have left her defensive and longing for a family.

Two people have never been more at odds-or more attracted to one another. And every day at work, the sparks sure do fly. When Kimberly's ambitious plans for Sam's ministry butt up against his risk-averse nature, Sam decides that obligations to family trump his work for the church. He quits the ministry and heads home to Australia to help his sister, Jules, save her struggling farm.

As Kimberly's grand plans flounder, she is forced to face the truth: that no one can replace Sam. Together they strike up a deal: If Kimberly comes to work on Jules's dairy farm and lends her business brains to their endeavor, then maybe-just maybe-Sam will reconsider his future with the church. As Kimberly tries her hand at Australian farm life, she learns more about herself than she could've ever expected. Meanwhile Sam is forced to re-evaluate this spunky woman he thought he already knew. As foes slowly morph into friends, they wonder if they might be something even more. But when disaster strikes the farm, will Sam find it within himself to take a risk that could lead to love? And will Kimberly trust God with her future?

    Aussie Author

I was excited to discover Jessica Kate and the fact that she was an Aussie author. I really enjoyed this book. It was fun that it was set in Australia. There is so much depth to this book and the growth and development of the characters was fantastic.

    Great New Aussie Author

Having recently read a novel series set in historic Australia by someone who had never even been to Australia, it was great to read a modern novel set in Australia by someone who lives here. Although I couldn't quite get the gist of anyone trying to run a dairy farm on the edge of the outback, and so was a little lost as to the details of the intended location, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The story was complex, with significant details revealed on a 'need-to-know' basis, rather than the info-dump some writers prefer. And there were really four main characters and two main romances, which really kept the action happening and the pages turning. I'll definitely be on the lookout for more by this author, because I enjoyed the book, and because I like to support good Australian writers. I recommend you give it a try.

Just had to keep reading one more page

I'm not a huge fan of contemporary fiction, but I stayed up way later than I should have just to read a little bit more. Then I put off things I shouldn't have to finish it the next day. Some solid advice on faith at the end of the book but told in a heartwarming, endearing way and woven so seamlessly into the dialogue and plot that the book wouldn't make sense without it. \\nI could tell Jessica had grown up on a farm! No bumbling or awkwardness about her descriptions. Enjoyable.

    fantastic

I was eagerly anticipating this new novel by Jessica Kate, and it did not disappoint! I love that this one is actually set in Australia. A fun, engaging story combining humor and romance. At first I thought I would be disappointed by the fact that the 'faith' aspect did not really seem much of a focus, however at about the halfway point it did come to the forefront with some really relevant and poignant themes. A must read for anyone who enjoyes a good novel.

    Atrue blue great read

This is a comfy, enjoyable read of an Aussie book. From the start the characters each became believable and extremely likeable. Getting to know each of them complete with their individual strengths and fears, hopes and humor. The story sparked my imagination as I took in the distinctly Australian environment and enjoyed the challenges faced by those who make their home on the land they love.
