When Kate discovers a barn at her new home - a farm - she starts to think that her dream to own a horse might come true. With her friend Tori, Kate discovers a thoroughbred that appears to be all alone. Could it be the answer to her prayers? Maybe, if she can convince her dad.

A horse of her own would be awesome. But Kate figures that might be a long way away, especially since she had to give up riding lessons and move to her late grandfather's farm. Besides, it would be a lot more fun to have a best friend to ride with. When Kate discovers a barn on their new farm that's perfect for a horse, and a dusty bridle too, she starts to think that her dream might come true. Then she meets Tori at school, who is totally the best. So when they discover a thoroughbred that appears to be all alone, could it be the answer to her prayers? Maybe. If she can convince her dad ... and figure out what's going on with that horse.

    Hard to put down.

\\nGreat book keeps you hooked,\\nhas some questions at the end encouraging you to draw near to God, + a recipe. \\nI would recommend for age 8 - 12\\neasy to read, the font is a great size, and chapters very feasible.

    Lovely Story

Bought for our daughter, she loved these books and couldn't put them down! As a parent, I especially enjoyed the extra bit at the end which encourages the reader to draw nearer to God by asking poignant questions. We will definitely be buying more in the series.

    Nice story

This is a nice little story about a girl who dreams of getting a horse when her parents move to her late grandfather's farm, but money's difficult to come by and it doesn't look like Kate's dream will come true. While the story moved along well and it was well written, it felt a bit stiff to me, especially since Kate and her friend, Tori always did the right thing by everybody and I don't know any kids who always behave that way. And the few plot conflicts that arose were always dismissed quickly and positively. I think it felt a bit too neat to me. However, it's a good story for any young girl who loves horses.
