All you need to know about one-to-one ministry

This is a great book that addresses almost every part of one to one (aka: mentoring, aka: discipling, aka: personal work) ministry. de Witt covers the big picture stuff and the practicalities. I think that people will all come away from the book (a) feeling that one-to-one ministry is important, and (b) that one-to-one ministry is doable. \\r\\n\\r\\nThere are little boxes scattered throughout the book that come from surveys that the author did and illustrate the points she makes clearly and memorably. I'm also really thankful that she addresses some of the tough issues like 'how to keep the Bible study happening when we seem to spend more and more time chatting' and 'how to mentor someone without becoming their guru' etc. \\r\\n\\r\\nThe one problem with this book is the editing. There are a number of times where there are punctuation typos. It seems like the author may have typed the manuscript and manually used hyphens for workbreaks and these were left in the print manuscript. It is perfectly readable but can be distracting having an editing error every couple of pages.
