**Trouble follows Lucy wherever she goes. So does a vision of second chances . . . and love.**

Lucy Fairbanks dreams of working as a photographer at the Rocky Creek newspaper. Her deepest hope is that her father will see her as an artist, the way he thought of her deceased mother, whose paintings still hang on their walls.

But disaster follows Lucy on every photo assignment: a mess of petticoats and ribbons, an accidental shooting, even a fire.

When Lucy meets David Wolf?a rugged, reclusive man who lives on the outskirts of town?she thinks she can catch the attention of the town with his photograph. She doesn't count on her feelings stirring whenever she's near him.

Two things happen next that forever change the course of Lucy's life. But will these events draw her closer to God or push her further away? And how will David accept this new vision of Lucy?

    Historical romance

This was a historical romance with an underlying teaching on letting go of the past and forgiving one another. Margaret Brownley handles these themes very well with a really believable plot. The characters and incidents that occur have enough humour to lighten the heaviness of these themes. The story line is enjoyable although I found it a little slow and lacking energy.

    Vision of Lucy

A Vision of Lucy (A Rocky Creek Romance) by Margaret Brownley is the third book in a series but it stands alone well. I really enjoyed reading this book. It starts out slow but after a few chapters it kept me interested in what was going to happen. This is a quick read. \\r\\n\\r\\n \\r\\n\\r\\nLucy is a strong-willed young lady who wants to make it on her own without the help of others. She has a father who disapproves of her. She tries everything she can to make him happy and love her. Her brother wants to become a doctor and she has been trying to find work as a photographer to put money aside for his schooling. \\r\\n\\r\\nDavid has some unsettled business from his past he comes back to town to finish. He wanted to settle his business quietly then return home to his professional of cabinet making. He has held on to things for too long, and that almost ruins Lucy and David's relationship. \\r\\nThese two lives become intertwined when Lucy stops a wagon from being robbed and has feelings of love and hate at first sight! David finds Lucy a nuisance for awhile until he realizes he has actually fallen for her. \\r\\n\\r\\nThis book was fun, exciting, and romantic all at the same time. Margaret Brownley has a writing style that is easy to read and makes you want to read more of her stories. \\r\\n\\r\\nI would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves Christian historical romance!
