About Hope, DVD

I would classify this in a similar way to a Hallmark movie - it's an enjoyable watch that will keep you entertained and smiling. There is a slight mention of Christianity near the start, and a heavy focus at the end. If you are after a Christian-heavy movie, this isn't it, but if you want an enjoyable film that reveals how we can slowly slip away from faith as well as showing the importance of keeping ones 'morals' (or Christian values) this was a pleasant watch.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It would probably be considered to be a 'Rom Com', with lots of humour and plenty of sweet romance, but there were well-handled serious moments too. There was a little bit of 'preaching' but it was blended into the story well enough that it didn't come across as overly judgemental or preachy, and I appreciated the hero's willingness to stick to his moral standards despite the financial consequences. It would make an excellent discussion starter for an older youth group, and would promote discussion about finding God's direction in romance. Loved it.
