Mediocre
If you've read the first one, then I don't think you need the specific marriage one, as it hinges on the same pattern and builds slightly. It does offer good insight into honesty being a fundamental value of the marriage. \\nIt is good however, as currently going through a chapter of long distance marriage, and finding it more important than ever to be intentional in our marriage, and this book highlighted some important aspects.

wow
Someone handed me this book right after my divorce to a horrendously abusive man. I looked at the book with disgust as I never wanted to be in a relationship ever again and feared putting someone in such an incredible position trust to violate that trust so badly. I started reading it one day only because my friend insisted I give it a go. Wow, many pages and a lot of tears later I had discovered what Gods intention for marriage was, how my ex husband never and how my first marriage was not aligned with God's plan. By the end of the book I had renewed hope that there was a Godly marriage out there somewhere, someday. this was about 7-8 years ago. (I am currently in a beautiful Godly marriage)

Must read
This book is a must-read for couples who want to have a healthy relationship. Boundaries are crucial for healthy emotionality and this book really drives it home. I'd also recommend """"Changes that Heal"""" by the same authors as a prior read because it lays the foundation for individual wholeness--I read that first because my best friend insisted that I needed to.

Marriage must read
I've only read the first few chapters of this book so far but already I've found it to be so helpful to my marriage. I know I'll have to read it more than once to take in all it has to offer. The authors offer not just advice but real life examples and really practical ways in which to improve every marriage by setting boundaries and respecting both your spouse and yourself. It was highly recommended to me and I will definitely be passing that recommendation on to any of my other married friends.
