A Puritan's View of Atonement. Stephen Charnock links the Old and New Testaments with his learned and fresh explanation of how the sacrificial system is satisfied by Jesus' one atoning sacrifice. He shows how this work was achieved with full prior knowledge of both the Father and Son in order to bring us blessings of a new covenant. "Sentence after sentence in Charnock's ordered march lights up and glows in your heart" - J I Packer. - Publisher.

**Includes an introduction from J. I. Packer** In this stimulating work Stephen Charnock links the Old and New Testaments with this classic explanation of how the sacrifice of Jesus Christ fulfils the Old Testament sacrificial system. He particularly illustrates the importance of the Passover, and opens up our understanding of the differences which characterise the New Testament Church era. He shows that Jesus willingly submitted to the pain he knew he would go through, in order to bring us the blessings of a new covenant with God.

    Must Read

It was so good to just be a sponge and learn again what Christ crucified means: the power, the impact, the voluntariness, the infinite nature of it, and the love God shows through it. \\n\\nJust like many old books, the sentences are long and the paragraphs are long. But this is a good and a much more readable edition to modern readers. If you want to learn aspects of Christ's crucifixion, this is one of the most must read books.
