This was a great collection of short novelslong novellas (about 200 pages each) focusing on a different couple in each novel, but always based in Apple Ridge, so that we can revisit the focus couples throughout the entire collection. This is the first time I've read Cindy Woddsmall's work and it wont be the last. Her stories are easy to read and the focus is not so much on the Amishness of the characters, but on the events, which are far more than just romantic happenings. Her characters are facing deep issues, adjusting their relationship with God and significant others, growing in faith and coming away stronger, better people for not shying away from interpersonal challenges. It was easy to read and keep up with who's who, and I recommend them to you highly.
