Coming to Faith Through Dawkins: 12 Essays on the Pathway From New Atheism to Christianity

It was encouraging to read the testimonies of 12 people on how they came to trust in Jesus for salvation. Lots of questions are posed and answered, but believing in 6 day creation earns one the pejorative of being simplistic, a fundamentalist etc. Christians are apparently embarassed about coming from monkeys P. 134 Apparently the universe is 13. 7 billion years old P. 73 with no proof sited. I wonder how long they think it will take for God to make the new heavens and earth? Strange that the Bible seems to indicate that a week = 7 days and one must be the Sabbath, when they obviously mean thousands of years if not millions of years ?! They claim that the majority of Christians believe in evolution. They must be disregarding 2000 years of history as well as modern Christians in non-Western countries who believe nothing of the sort. It reminds me of the partial healing of the blind man who saw men as trees walking in Mark 8 v24. I pray that they will see the huge problems with the theory of evolution and grow in their faith in God and His word. Sadly I cannot recommend this book to use with unbelievers.
