There is an increasing number of divisive issues in our world today, all of which require great discernment. Thankfully, God has given each of us a conscience to align our wills with his and help us make wise decisions. Examining all thirty New Testament passages that touch on the conscience, Andrew Naselli and J. D. Crowley help readers get to know their consciences-a largely neglected topic-and engage with other Christians who hold different convictions. Offering guiding principles and answering critical questions about how the conscience works and how to care for it, this book shows how the conscience impacts our approach to church unity, ministry, and more.

    Bring clarity to your conscience.

None of us can deny the existence of that inner voice that approves and condemns our actions, but how many of us understand it? Naselli and Crowley seek to bring us to an awareness of our own moral compass. They show us what the conscience is, how it works, how to correct it when it disagrees with God, and what to do when our consciences clash with each other. \\r\\n\\r\\nThis is far and away the best book I've read this year. Nothing is more delightful than reading something that is thoroughly biblical, thoughtfully organised and makes sense of our own experience. The greatest strength of this book is its practical edge. The authors are eager to show us that in Christ our consciences have not only been cleansed but healed, and can now be put into service for God. Our conscience, far from being unreliable and irrelevant, can now be cultivated as a tool for holy living. \\r\\n\\r\\nThis book will benefit anyone who is seeking to test and approve God's will (Rom 12:2), especially in those areas where it is unclear if the matter is an issue of obedience or Christian freedom. Those engaged in cross-cultural ministries will especially benefit, for the book is written with an eye to responding wisely to clashes of conscience among believers (and unbelievers) from different cultures.
