Not sure whether Spurgeon would have either approved of the Study bible craze or the Bible translation used. He very much used he KJV exclusively as did most in his day. The bible has a solid hardcover with the best of bindings. It has Spurgeon quotes interspersed throughout bible sourced from his sermons. While I do have a few study bibles and do see them a prized place on my bookshelf it seems to me Spurgeon is best when his sermons are read all the way through. I'm also not a fan of study bibles named after or inspired by individuals. But it may inspire those who read through this book to read Spurgeon sermons and published works for themselves which would be a good or maybe even the best thing.
