Danger in the Shadows (Prequel) (O'Malley Series)

I am over halfway through this one and it's amazing. Keeping me on edge in chapters but always intrigued to find out what will happen next. I love the exploration of the character and their development. It gives great understand to Dave and who he is in first book in the series. I truly enjoy the detail the author put into the characters in particular the potential love interest. Dee Henderson writes true gentleman who care greatly for the people in their lives but don't want to control the women but give them the opportunity to be who they are with support. I love this and the way the characters pray and talk with God. So real and a great reminder of how we can be praying too. I am definitely enjoying this series and would recommend people give it a try.

I love this book and long ago lost count of the number of times I've read it - every time falling more in love with the characters. The storyline is gripping, pulling you toward the end in a pace that you won't want to put it down (what an eye-opener to the world of witness protection!) but it's the characters which made me fall in love with it. I love their relationships - both family and romantic. An amazing story I'd recommend to anyone who loves suspense (but probably not those who are parents and become part of the story they read since it does deal with the kidnapping of two young girls). Great as a standalone but also a nice introduction to the O'Malley family who show up throughout the story.

AMAZING! What a fantastic novel!! Words can't convey how much I enjoyed Sara and Adam's story! Where can I start. . . \\r\\nThe characters: fabulous! The way that Henderson has developed them is phenomenal and really well written. I immediately fell in love with Sara and Adam. They're a couple that bring out the best in each other and you can't help but root for them. I was crying alongside them and cheering for them as the book came to a close. Adam is so sweet and Sara has just the right amounts of strength and vulnerability! I was so sad to finish it, I went and re-read it!\\r\\nThe plot: fascinating! Henderson wove together the story really well with a few unexpected twists. It is super interesting and gripping. I normally don't enjoy romantic suspense because it's just too. . . well. . . suspenseful. Henderson's novels are one of the few suspense novels that I truly enjoy! Henderson always manages to weave in faith elements very realistically. . I've read the whole O'Malley series more than three times, but I have to say that 'Danger in the Shadows' is actually my favourite!! If you haven't read this novel, you have no idea what you're missing out on!! I give this novel 7 out of 5 stars!!!\\r\\n(sorry for using so many exclamation marks. . . that's how good this novel was!!)

Dee Henderson once again has created a fantastic novel with characters that are flawed yet so lovable. Her use of suspense, ensnares you from the first chapter. This book leaves you wanting more of the O'Malleys as you fall in love with how relatable and real the characters feel. Highly recommended for teenagers and adults alike!
