Dangerous Journey: The Story of Pilgrim's Progress$32.99
Of course the Pilgrim's Progress is an essential classic for Christian reading, and a version for younger kids (and even teens) is a must have. My family has had the older cover edition of 'Dangerous Journey' since we were super little, and our dad would read it to us all the time. With the large pages and the superb illustrations, it was easy to remain engaged in the story and its much-needed lessons. Bonus points for including Christiana's story as well; short and heartfelt and just as important to follow along.

Seriously, a must have for your shelf!!
This book is fantastic, I couldn't recommend it highly enough! It's a modernised version of the classic Pilgrim's Progress. I've had pilgrims progress on our shelf for a while, but it's been too difficult for the children to understand. So I went looking for a version that was easier to understand. This is it! My son, 6, was captivated by every word, wanting 'another chapter' each time. The main character is burdened by the weight of his sin and can't rid himself of it. So he sets off in search of the celesitial city (heaven) where by many along the way try to enter by other means, or try to deceive him, however there is only one way by which we can be received in the end- through Christ. Powerful tale and images (some may frighten very young children ie a skull and a dragon, which I thought mine might be, but so captivated by the story was he that it didn't bother him at all. ) This was a timely reminder for myself to keep my eyes fixed on eternity as we live out our lives in love and service for all God has done for us. Highly recommend for all families!
