    Helpful commentary

Reid gives a non-technical and easy to read explanation of Daniel that isn't shallow. He tackles Daniel passage by passage, explaining the details of the text, modern day application and giving discussion questions. He has a heavy emphasis on the theme of the kingdom of God, with extra chapters spread throughout the book tying this theme together. He also shows how the book of Daniel points towards Jesus. Accessible and helpful, highly recommended.

    Helpful commentary

Reid writes a helpful commentary on a rather complicated book of the bible. He keeps to the overall story of Daniel and avoids unnecessarily being carried away in attempts to allocate meaning to certain numbers and symbols in the book of Daniel. \\r\\nThis is not a verse by verse expositional commentary of the passage, but it should be a detailed enough resource to help understand the book of Daniel for personal reading and bible study preparation.
