Daring to Hope: Finding God's Goodness in the Broken and the Beautiful$17.99$10.79
I loved reading Katie's first book, Kisses from Katie, but this one hit me on so much deeper a level. It was hard to read at times but also so encouraging. Not in a 'wow, I want to be like her' kind of way, but more 'wow, she's just like me. ' The same struggles with parenting, the same wondering where God is in the pain of the world, the same wondering if anything we do makes a difference. It's hard, but so full of hope. Before I'd even finished it, I was thinking of all the other moms I wanted to share it with. So, so encouraging.

Very Encouraging
I found this an incredibly encouraging read. Katie is very real as she wrestles with her faith and experiences real hardships, yet she holds onto the truth of God's goodness. She learns to see suffering not as something to be avoided at all costs, but instead as an opportunity to grow in trust in God as well show love to those around her and testify to God's goodness.

Honestly. . . It's not as great as the first one.
First it wasn't as great as the first book, the second book (this book) was all fantasy and no substance. It wasn't my favourite book, though it wasn't the worst. I would recommend it for teens and preteens. And read the first book FIRST!

Hard to put down!
Loved the first book """"Kisses from Katie"""" so when i saw there was a sequel, I couldn't wait to find out what was happening now in Katie's unusual life in Africa! Katie beautifully shares with us her hurts and frustrations with God as He doesn't always answer her prayers in the ways that she is expecting or hoping for. She then shows us how she has used these broken times to actually draw closer to God. An inspirational young lady with a story of hope and encouragement for all of us.

Inspirational
This book is a follow-on to Katie's first book,""""Kisses with Katie"""". I found this story resonates with me and was a very encouraging read. I'd recommend this as an uplifting lesson in holding on to God when life doesn't go how you think it should.
