**'Correctly handle the word of truth,' says 2 Timothy 2: 15. Using these 'tools' will enable you to get to the bottom of many Bible passages and help you to discover their true meaning** This is a toolbox. Sorry if this conjures up painful memories of failed DIY projects, hours spent waiting for the emergency services on the hard shoulder of the motorway, or rusty, forgotten implements decked with cobwebs at the back of your garden shed.
But there are no spanners or trowels here. These tools are rather a means of getting to the bottom of any Bible passage and discovering its true meaning.
Listening to God speak to us through the Bible is like picking up a telephone and hearing your Creator at the other end of the line. It should be exciting, life-changing even. But sometimes it seems more like a long-distance call, with static on the line, and it's hard to make out what our Father is saying. Maybe our own interpretation is such guesswork that we're in danger of putting words into God's mouth.
The passionate aim of this book is that it should help you to 'correctly handle the word of truth' (2 Timothy 2:15) so that you will experience God's clear guidance in your life, come to know him better and grow to love him more. Our prayer is that your Bible reading will never be the same again.

Dig Deeper: Tools to Unearth the Bible's Treasure$34.99
People who want to commit to reading the Bible for themselves are often hindered by a lack of knowledge of how to begin. This book addresses that need by pointing out and introducing some aspects of a biblical text to look out for when studying the Bible. The most helpful contribution of this book is the idea that """"author's purpose is king"""", a reminder to readers that observing, interpreting, applying, and teaching the Bible ought to be centered on the meaning of the text at hand. This book is highly accessible, requiring little prior technical knowledge, and written with engaging anecdotes and examples. Each of its chapters span only a few pages, making the book suitable for use in training cell group leaders or in one-to-one equipping settings.

Short, useful introduction to reading the Bible
In this short book, the authors effectively lay out the key building blocks for studying the Bible accurately and more deeply. They teach skills for studying sentences, such as repetition, parallels and conjunctions. Due to the scope of this work, other topics such as genre are mentioned, but not explained in much detail. However, the strength of this book is its brevity. It would work as a good introduction for those who are getting started in deeper Bible study, though students will want to move on to more detailed guides afterwards.
