In a fresh and readable style, Vaughan Roberts, issues a challenging call to Christians to live out their faith. We should be different from the world around us.Targeting difficult but crucial areas such as our attitude to money and possessions, sexuality, contentment, relativism and service, this teaching is holiness in the tradition of J.C. Ryle for the contemporary generation. Roberts helps us to consider how we are to respond biblically to the temptations and pitfalls surrounding us--giving what we cannot keep to gain what we cannot lose.

    Clear and Helpful

Vaughan has helpfully focused on the major challenges Western Christians face. He clearly walks through how God calls us to live in each of these aspects of life, and then provide thought-provoking and sometimes uncomfortable questions to reflect on your own Christian life. Highly recommended for personal discipleship, or to use in 1-1s, or in small groups.

    Refreshing and edifying

This short book is based on a collection of Robert's sermons on the Christian life. There are few ground-breaking insights in this book, but rather time-tested truth. Its simplicity makes it good for new believers and also mature believers as a call back to the fundamentals of Christian living. Highly recommended for any Christian.
