I love Nancy Guthrie's books because they are Christ-centered, and also written in easy to understand language. In this book, Nancy expounds the themes in Genesis such as wilderness, tree, image, clothing, offspring, Sabbath and traces it through the whole Bible (Biblical Theology), and she shows how our future in the new heaven and earth for all eternity is better than Eden. This book will give its readers a lot of insights, and also for those who are suffering, hope in what God has in store for them.

An excellent book that shows the bible as a wholistic story. In this book, Guthrie focuses on the story of Eden and expands it to show how the rest of the bible is showing how everything will be better than Eden. A very accessible book. Anyone should be able to read this along and follow her ideas.

Even Better Than Eden is unlike any book I have ever read before. Nancy has her eyes firmly fixed on Christ's eternal kingdom and it shines through in this book. She discusses, with great insight and clarity, nine ways in which we can put our hope in how God has prepared for us a future that is even better than first demonstrated in Eden. She demonstrates how each of these aspects are woven through the Bible and how they are certainly not afterthoughts or 'Plan B' after the fall but how what we look forward to in the New Heaven and Earth were always part of God's eternal plan. Nancy clearly knows the big picture of scripture well and through her exploration we can see the threads of Gods faithfulness of display in the hope of this journey. Highly recommend reading!
