Find Rest Devotional

I really loved that each day was so thoughtfully laid out. I feel like I was being spoken to by a friend that was giving me daily reminders and encouragement to push on and prioritise the most important. I enjoyed the layout as well; two pages of reading, a page to write a reflection and then a page with a quote to match the devotion. I will be purchasing more of Shaunti's devotionals as reading this for the last 60 days has honestly really helped me find strength in all the roles I play as a women.

This 60-day devotional was just what I needed at I time when I was feeling busy and pulled in all directions. Each of the 60 days begins with a scripture and a two-page devotional that starts with an anecdote and then relates to something in God's truth. The next two-page spread has a reflection question or two, space to write notes and an inspiring quote. It is also beautifully presented, with lovely artwork throughout. \\n\\nI found a lot to think about and apply, and feel this is a book I'll be coming back to again and again to remind myself of valuable lessons. One thing I especially liked was that the author didn't just look at the external trappings of busyness, but also the inner world and the things that can cause us emotional stress and rob us of rest and peace. \\n\\nAs the subtitle indicates, it's geared towards women, but that's not to say men wouldn't also find some helpful gems that could equally apply to them. \\n\\nI enjoyed it so much that I've bought her new book 'Find Joy' and am looking forward to getting into it. Highly recommended.
