*Salvation is from our side a choice, from the divine side [...] a conquest of the Most High God.* - A. W. Tozer

With words like these, Tozer shakes the soul. He crumbles the lies we believe and calls us to the more sure way.

In these pages, Tozer says what it means to truly be saved. It is not merely to assent to Jesus and go on our same old way, but to be conquered by the Almighty God and invaded by his Spirit. A saved person is a transformed person. Let Tozer upend you in this moving prequel to *The Pursuit of God*. And being upended, may you be found standing upright in an upside-down world.*

Highly recommended for anyone seeking a true spiritual transformation

The man who would know God, must give time to Him. He must count no time wasted in the cultivation of His acquaintance'. \\n\\nA short and powerful read for anyone seeking and not wanting to settle in their relationship with God. \\n\\nThere is something truly compelling about Tozer's earnest writing here. While boldly calling out the temptation to settle in our spiritual formation, Tozer continually reasserts the Holy Spirit as the driving force for spiritual transformation and of equal footing in the Trinity. If nothing else, this book has allowed me to reconsider my view of the Holy Spirit as God within me that enables me to transform. \\n\\nLastly but importantly, Tozer's honesty and compassion that spiritual transformation takes time was also a kind encouragement as inevitable stumbling occurs.
