This book was a beautiful way to teach children how addictions spiral out of control, take over our lives, cloud of judgement and enslave us, as well as how the truth sets us free. This series is wonderful! It really makes honesty in conversations come out.

So well done!
I really enjoyed this book and all the Good news for little hearts series. It is dealing with coveting and wanting more than you need. Though Gus steals candy because he wants it so much, both parents also come to a place of realisation and repentance about their own similar heart issues, with fishing gear and other shopping. It was a challenge for me personally on how much I really need ALL the books I like, haha. It was so relatable and the pictures are fantastic too. Highly recommend for any children around 4-8 years old.
