Highlighter: Zebrite Carded Yellow

Absolutely love the double-ended highlighter which can cater for highlighting verses as well as doing a solid highlighting of the whole word/line of a verse. It does bleed through a tiny bit, but this is so minor. So, just be careful of the pressure you put on it as you use it. But generally it doesn't bleed through to the next page.

This is the best bible highlighter. It is the perfect width to highlight the verses and even comes with a thin end which I use for underlining. The single highlighters may not have the best economical value in comparison to the 5 pack, but it allows you to buy the colour you need if, like me, you dedicate different colours to different themes and one is used more heavily than the others and thus runs out sooner.

I've tried a number of different highlighters (including highlighter pencils) in my Bible, and zebrite are easily my favourite. They are just like a normal highlighter, in both colour and feel when using, except they don't bleed or go through to the previous page. The colour is slightly visible on the reverse side of thin Bible pages, however I feel that this is almost inevitable no matter what you use.
