This is very helpful to understand how to read the different literary genres in the Bible. It is a bit dense to read, but very helpful for anyone wanting to better understand how to read, understand, and interpret the Bible.

Very helpful
Great book to help you study the Bible more in depth and get a better understanding of how to get the most out of the Bible.
Sometimes there were some ""big words"" but otherwise not too difficult to read.

Great guide
This is a thorough and practical guide to reading the Bible well. It teaches skills for reading the Bible in its various genres. One must be aware that the authors take certain positions that not all will agree with. For example, in this book the Old Testament law is taught to be not directly applicable to New Testament Christians. Another example is that this book teaches that the titles to each Psalm are not inspired. This book is well-worth reading as long as one is careful to note these potential issues. Highly recommended for serious students of the Bible taking their first steps into more serious study.

Read before study
If you want to read the bible and maximize what you get out of it, this is a excellent place to start. It has insightful tips on different types of literature and how to interpret in a correct way. It brings up way to study the bible that stay true to the text but will translate accurately to today. Recommend!

If you are wanting to learn more about the structure and the different literatures inside the bible, this is a great study tool!
