On April 20th, 1999 at Columbine High School, two teenage boys entered their high school with guns and homemade bombs planning to kill hundreds of their classmates. They would murder 12 students and 1 teacher before turning their guns on themselves.

The first student that died was Rachel Joy Scott. She was eating lunch in the courtyard outside when she was shot and multiple times. The killers knew Rachel. They were in classes together and Rachel had shared her faith in Jesus with them. Moments before her death, they mocked her, "Do you still believe in your God?" With a gun at her head she replied, "You know that I do."

I'm Not Ashamed is Rachel's story from her own words. Drawn directly from her writings, we discover the hope in this tragedy. We find the story of a student who showed radical compassion to the hurting and unnoticed. It's the true story of a girl who was not ashamed to share her love for Jesus to those around her, even to her killers.

    A True Story

I enjoyed this movie, it follows some of the life of Rachael Joy Scott a teenager that wanted to make a difference in a Godless school. It shows her difficulties and her joys that she faced including peer pressure. I truely believe this young teenager that died at a young age made a difference and I hope this movie inspires many.

    Confronting

This is a very confronting movie. What lengths are you willing to go to for your faith?? Rachael's life is that of many teenage girls. Yet she showed great courage in a time when her faith was called into question. I did enjoy the portrayal of her life and the influence she had on those around her. The reason for 3 stars is that I personally feel there are some scenes that are inappropriate. That aside, I am glad to have watched this movie as it challenged me to evaluate my own faith and question where I stand.

    A Beautiful True Story

I have read the book now I have seen the movie and I must say I really enjoyed watching the life of Rachael Joy Scott she wasn't perfect she was just a ordinary teenage girl trying to make a difference by helping people the best way she could. This movie shows her struggles, upsets, her friendships, reaching out to people and trying to help and listen without being judgemental and so much more. This movie is sad and you cant help but feel proud because she did and has made a difference to so many people and I would watch this movie again and again. I watched this movie with my 3 children they are 8 and up and they enjoyed it too.

    Heartbreaking and inspiring

It seems like such a waste of life! One of those times when we cry why, when this young woman was faithful. . . but now her story will inspire others to stand strong for Jesus. . . . . . . . . . . because we never know how much longer we will have the chance to tell them. . .
