    A fantastic read

I started this book the way you're supposed to. Reading every chapter in order. Rachel writes the historical in first person POV and the contemporary in third person POV. Every chapter bounces between the timelines, so it's consistent. And tempting if you get caught up in one of the timelines to skip the other which is what happened to me. I began to read only the even chapters because I really loved the historical timeline, but I stopped the contemporary one chapter (the odd chapters) one chapter too soon. When I went back to read the contemporary, I found it also had a great twist and sucked me in until the very end. If you have read 'The Red Canary' you'll know who the historical couple are, but you don't need to have read that. If you have read 'Undercurrent of Secrets' you'll know the hero of the contemporary plotline, but again, this is a standalone book. So, you don't need to have read either of the others. I just loved seeing these people I already knew get their own story, and what great stories they were!

    Great Read!

What a great read! I enjoyed both timelines as much as each other. This was just fun and a great escape. I enjoyed all the characters in both timelines and the stories in both. I thought the cover was gorgeous!
