Invisible (#01 in Invisible Series)

I don't really read books about 13 year olds who are struggling with many issues but had heard a lot about this book. Cecily does a fantastic job of enveloping us in the life and heart of a 13 year old battling with many issues. She has dealt with her issues by trying to avoid them and make herself invisible. \\r\\nThis would make an excellent book for Year 7 students to study at school. \\r\\nI also loved that this book was Australian with Australian spelling.

I love the real emotion in this book. I remember what it felt like to be 14 year old girl - all the huge emotions you can be feeling. I remember wondering if anyone understands how this feels and being too embarrassed to talk about it. As an adult now, I want all my young brave heart friends to know that talking about your problems will probably make them much easier. So I want to give this book to all the teenage girls I know. It reminds me to really stop and listen to my young brave heart friends because they ARE valuable and worth it, so I want to give it to all my adult friends. \\r\\nAlso, I stayed up all night reading this book because it is just so well written. I just HAD to know what would happen next and how Jazmine was going, I was cheering her on and eagerly waiting to see what she would grow into (and I wasn't disappointed!).
