Jesus Calling Seeking Peace in His Presence

This is a brilliant devotional book for any child who wants to grow in their faith and learn ways to become a better Christian. My daughter has grown so much since reading this book and looks forward to reading it every day. It's easy to read and understand. The third person narration gives compassion and makes comprehension a breeze. Highly recommended.

Jesus Calling - 365 Devotions for Kids is a collection of daily devotions by Sarah Young, obviously aimed at children. The devotions are dated with the day of the year, but not the week day so can be used during any year. Each devotion is based on a scripture which is given at the top of the page. Each devotion fills one page related to the verse. \\r\\n\\r\\nThe first response from my seven year old when we opened the package was """"Mum, the book is really OLD!"""" and he screwed up his face. Obviously given this book is a devotional book for each day we have not read the book from front to back as yet. However, from the days that we have done over the past few weeks, I've felt that this book would be more suited to the tween/early teenage years rather than a child under 10. There is a lot of language used that requires explanation. He was also quite confused by how the devotions are worded as they are worded in first person perspective from the point of view of Jesus. \\r\\n\\r\\nI don't think I would use this book on an ongoing basis for children's devotions.
