KJV Old Scofield Study Black (Classic Edition)

At 10 years old I was given a little Scofield Bible as an award for memorizing the books of the Bible. I read it for many years. Then I switched to other versions. About three years ago I found my little Scofield and began reading it again. I was astounded at the richness of the interpretive tools that I found, which as a youngster I had not appreciated. C. I. Scofield cross-referenced verses in such a thorough way that I could study a verse and follow that reference wherever it appeared in the 66 books of the Bible, giving a clear meaning of that verse. Each book begins with an overview and in most, an outline that can be followed as you read that particular book. But to me, the wonderful aspect of this bible is the footnotes which are so thorough that every doctrine, every topic covered can be researched with scripture alone interpreting scripture. The summaries at the end of each topic are pure gold. Scofield included a concordance, a subject index as well as a wonderful collection of maps and a Subject Index (which is invaluable when you know the general topic you are looking for but you don't know where to find it). This Bible has helped me study God's Word like no other. And yes, I have a computer. And yes, I use Bible Gateway!
