    AMAZING INSIGHTS

Chuck Missler is an amazing teacher who can bring out some of the most astonishing hidden nuggests of Truth from his teaching. I read though this book in a few days and I learned so much. This book is the pefect starting point into learning the bible. \\nThe book took me a few hours to read, cover to cover. \\nThe DVD series of the same name is a little more indepth taking 1 hour per session\\nThere are per-book studies by Chuck that are even more indepth again. \\nI found that Joseph Prince actually teachers a lot of what Chuck Missler has in these books, with a highlight of names, places, times, ect. \\nThis book is a great investment!

This book CAN BE a life-changer

Dr. Missler uses his own engineering background to mix modern science with biblical truth in a way that helps an engineer like myself make sense of the Bible. For example, he shows how the laws of thermodynamics underpin the Genesis story; while this can be off putting for some, it can be eye-opening for others and, in any case, is not essential to benefit from this excellent overview of each of the books in the Bible. His basic theme is that the 66 books of the Bible form an integrated package (he uses the IT term """"message system"""") with a single unified message about God's plan of redemption: """"the New Testament is in the Old Testament concealed, and the Old Testament is in the New Testament revealed. """"\\r\\n\\r\\nSo who is this book for? It's for anyone who wants to understand the Bible book-by-book. . . and gain insight into its reality, power and authority. I have a caveat or two, though. First, this isn't a book to skim; it can lead one to serious study. Second, someone who approaches with """"eyes to see and ears to hear"""" can become addicted to serious Bible study. I'm one, and I know of literally hundreds of others who have. For me, this book was the beginning of lifelong study. \\r\\n\\r\\nThe book is a useful verbatim transcription of the DVD series (also on YouTube).

Easy to read, quick to follow but. . .

This book is very easy to read and follow. With sections broken down into one hour readings. \\r\\nI was really enjoying it until p19 'Issues from science'. I'd really enjoyed the physics meta physics parts - although had some concerns about the accuracy of the physics. \\r\\n\\r\\nHowever, it was when I hit p19 that I balked. The author is completely dismissive of the biological sciences. Rendering evolution (and Darwin) and biological sciences down to a glossing over. So, I found this argument weak. \\r\\n\\r\\nAt this point, I almost gave up reading the rest. However, attempting to remain open minded, continued reading. Quite obviously I don't agree with the the author's take on much of the science put forward: which is why I'm only giving it 2 stars. \\r\\n\\r\\nFor anyone who wishes to have a quick over view of where 'Intelligent Design' is coming from - this is probably a good introduction. \\r\\n\\r\\nHowever, for me that argument doesn't stack up - so will have to stick with the Evolution, curiosity and wonder. But it's always good to hear the other side of any argument.

    Great overview of the Bible

I just loved this book as it provided an easy to understand overview of every book of the bible. Set in 1 hour readings it is possible to cover the whole bible in 24 hours - 1 a day and it is less than a month. It is quite fundamental in its approach and for some this may be off-putting but if you can get past that it really is a good resource.
