Let There Be Light: An Opposites Primer (Baby Believer Series)

This book is done so cleverly. They have each page covering an opposite - dark/ light, empty/ full, work/ rest, etc. which is a great baby book concept. But then on top of that, it goes through the story of the seven days of creation, and even better, uses bible verses on each page to tell the story. For example, Wet/Dry,""""The Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. . . The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. Psalm 95:3,5"""" or Day/Night,""""The Lord, who gives the sun for light by day and the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night. . . the Lord of hosts is his name. Jeremiah 31:35"""". \\nThe illustrations are exquisite, and the book is a really good sized board book, nice solid pages, able to cope well with energetic toddler hands using it. \\nThis book is perfect for children aged 0-4. I buy it for baby shower gifts and got it for our church creche, as well as for my own children. There are more books in this series, and I enjoy them all, but this would be one of my favourites.

A beautiful board book. Gorgeous illustrations. Nice opposites, quotes from Genesis, Exodus, Psalms, Proverbs, Jeremiah, John. It's based on Creation week, and everything is in order except one: day and night. Note thwt the days are not listed, but based on the order day and night is used for day 4 (with a picture of the sun and moon), rather than day 1 when it was created. Dark and light are correctly used where day 1 is implied. \\nGiven the days are not listed, I don't think it's a complete deal breaker, but definitely something to discuss with your child.
