In his most powerful book yet, Pastor Francis Chan digs deep into biblical truths, reflections on his own failures and dreams, and stories of ordinary people God is using to change the world.

As Chan says, "We've strayed so far from what God calls Church. We all know it. We know that what we're experiencing is radically different from the Church in Scripture. For decades, church leaders like myself have lost sight of the inherent mystery of the Church. We have trained people sitting in the pews to become addicted to lesser things. It's time for that to change."

When Jesus returns, will He find us caring for His Bride-even more than for our own lives? Letters to the Church reminds us of how powerful, how glorious the Church once was ... and calls us to once again be the Church God intended us to be.

    Rethinking Church

\\nFrancis Chan does an excellent job of breaking down the shortcomings of large Evangelical Churches in the United States and how we can refocus the purpose of the Church to be more in-line with how it is presented in the New Testament. \\n\\nChan occurs a refreshing perspective from those who have been in the large Church movement. Having built up a mega Church from its humble beginnings, he has seen firsthand how they lead to passive Christians and a focus on entertainment over growing in Christ. His time with underground churches overseas provides a much needed reality check for us in the developed Western world. \\n\\nI highly recommend the book and encourage all Evangelicals to read it to assess where their heart is when it comes to being part of a Church community.

What would the Church look like if God had it his way?

We all crave that fellowship which Jesus desired for us when he prayed """"May they be one, Father, just as you are in me and I in you"""" (John 17:21). Is Church more than just a Sunday thing? Where did we go so wrong? Chan doesn't state wild opinions or point fingers, he humbly takes us and himself through the scriptures to see what God desires his Church. This book lets God speak through his word. What you find may shock, convict and most definitely encourage you!
