This book exposes 25 of the lies most commonly believed by teenage girls, concerning self-image, relationships, sex, making choices, and more. Using real life blogs and stories, Nancy and Dannah offer girls great advice on how to be an authentic Christian.

You have been lied to! Have you been deceived? Through a nationwide survey and in-depth discussion groups, Nancy and Dannah have listened carefully to the heart of your generation. And here are some things they've heard:

"I know God should be the only thing that satisfies, but if it could be Him *and* my friends, then I could be happy."

"It seems like I have been struggling with depression forever. I always feel like I am not good enough."

"I tell myself that I don't really listen to the song lyrics, but once I hear a song a few times and start thinking about what they're saying I realize that it's too late. It's already stuck in my head."

"For me, the whole wife and mom thing is overrated. It isn't cool to want a husband and a family."

Maybe you can identify. Trying to listen to the right voices can be difficult. This book has been written by friends who will help you find the Truth. Maybe your heart is telling you that some things in your life are way off course. Certain habits and relationships have left you confused and lonely. This is not the way it's supposed to be.

In this book, Nancy and Dannah expose 25 of the lies most commonly believed by your generation. They share real-life accounts from some of the young women they interviewed, along with honest stories about how they've overcome lies they believed themselves. They get down in the trenches of the battle with you. Best of all, they'll show you how to be set free by the Truth.

    Changed my life

I would definitely recommend this to every teenage girl and woman in her early 20s. Nearly every lie that they discuss in this book I have believed previously or was still believing until reading this book. Sometimes you feel like you may be the only person struggling with those lies but this book showed me that I am not alone which was very encouraging. They gave great biblical and practical advice to tackle each of the lies. I was very touched by this book and tend to go back to it to read through certain sections again when struggling.

A book that everyone should read

I love the format of this book! It is very colourful and cute. \\r\\n\\r\\nThis book aims to correct the myths that most young women believe in. It also provides guidance on how should a Christian answer contentious issues, such as practising yoga. \\r\\n\\r\\nOverall, I really enjoy reading this book. I think everyone should read this book.

Essential for younger women and teenagers.

This was genuinely a really nice read for a young woman, like me. The book addresses 25 common lies in this generation and directs us to seek the One and Only God through biblical truth. I found this book quite helpful as it covers lies that was embedded in our worldly lives and gives us godly advice in helping us to enriched our relationship with Jesus. I hope those that have a chance to read this book would enjoyed it as much as I do.

Essential for teen girls, their mothers and youth workers

This is a fantastic book. I'm a big fan of Dannah Gresh and her ministry to equip girls and women in a life of purity. But this book, Lies Young Women Believe, deals with a broad range of lies that our society instills in our young girls. From boys, sex, new age practices, body image - this book refutes these lies frankly. It's great to read from front to back, but also to use as a reference. Anyone dealing with teenage girls would also benefit from reading this so you can help answer questions and combat the lies they face every day.

    Must for all teen girls

I bought this book as a youth leader for a resource to help in working with teenage girls but found it to be very helpful challenging the lies I've let into my own life. It gets right to the heart of lies we as women are told - I can never be good enough, I need a boyfriend to be worth anything, it's not really sex, beautiful girls are worth more, etc. Written in an easy to read format with side note comments from real teens and helpful ways to fight the lies, I would highly recommend this book to any girl, and have!
