Luther's Small Catechism

First published in 1529, Luther's *Der Kleine Katechismus* was an abridged version of his influential Large Catechism, and originally intended for the instruction of children. The Small Catechism takes the traditional catechetical form of a Q and A, covering such essentials as the Ten Commandments, Apostle's Creed, and Lord's prayer, as well as biblical sacraments such as baptism and eucharist.
