another great read by Sarah Sundin

I enjoy how Sarah Sundin selects different places/settings for her books and series. In this one, it's fascinating to gain insight into wartime along the Scottish coast. As always, Sarah Sundin creates engaging chracters and an enticing plotline, making a book that is hard to put down. This is the first time I've given a 4 star to one of Sundin's books, rather than 5: There were just a few things that did not seem entirely pausible at times, or could have done with a bit more explanation.

A mix of culture, war and love.

The thing I love about Sarah Sundin's writing is that she consistently hones in on what is important in life. Sophisticated characters and contexts keep you engaged in the narrative, but in a war zone what really matters becomes really clear.
