    inspiring

James was a pioneer missionary to the Lisu people in China. He laboured hard for these tribes people, working alone for much of time which required him to travel vast amounts of distance through difficult terrain. We see that through it all his focus was set on Christ and the gospel. A rough life and conditions meant little to James as he adapted to the Chinese village life. This was far removed from the much """"better"""" living conditions and lifestyle of Britain. He endured all with what seemed to be great joy, willing to sacrifice his time and energy for God's kingdom, whether that meant learning the language, translating the Bible into the Lisu language, travelling to the printing press, travelling between villages, and even being sent by his agency to a different province. He did this all with no complaints and carried himself with humility and love.
