My First Read Aloud Bible

I bought two of these Bibles as baptism gifts for my young grand-nephew and grand-niece. The wonderful illustrations and accessible text make it an excellent introduction to scripture, whether read aloud by others or enjoyed independently by children. A truly beautiful keepsake for a special milestone.

Great first bible for kids - I chose this one after looking through a few at Koorong because I liked how the bible stories were rewritten (clear, captured the main message of the stories) with simple illustrations. Only downside is it's not a board book (but inevitable for a bible with this many pages).

I really love this book! The words are so simple and get straight to the point. I love the easy words. \\r\\n\\r\\nE. g. For the Prodigal Son, it just says: \\r\\n\\r\\nThere was once a son who left home. He soon spent his father's money. \\r\\n\\r\\n""""I'm hungry and unhappy,"""" the young man thought. """"I'll go back and tel my father I""""m sorry. """"\\r\\n\\r\\nAs soon as his father saw him, he ran to hug him. \\r\\n\\r\\n""""My son has come home!"""" he called to his servants. """"Let's have a party!""""\\r\\n\\r\\n""""God is happy when we come home to him"""", Jesus said. \\r\\n\\r\\nEach story has a double page for it, and a scripture reference to the actual story in the Bible too. \\r\\n\\r\\nThe pictures are lovely too.
