NET Bible Full Notes Edition Blue - First Impressions

Another one of the things I have been exploring of late is potentially expanding my limited range of study bibles in order to broaden the scope of resource material I have for engaging in small group studies that I am a part of. I had heard about this resource by going through a few YouTube videos on the various options that are out there, and this one appealed to me a bit as I don't know either the Greek or Hebrew, et. al. of the original languages. I was hoping this would be a "next best thing" type resource and it has not disappointed as it expands on the reasons the translators who created this english bible version made their choices of language to express what they found in the original text, and also the alternative views about what could have been written. This is helping me have a greater deal of confidence in what we can rely on concerning what we find in our bibles. While I'm not exactly a fan of the NET bible translation itself (preference is ESV at the moment, NIV a close second), the basic reasoning in word choice behind the text is very helpful in getting a bit of a grasp of some of the underpnning Greek and Hebrew words from which the text has been translated as well (I don't have a Strong's resource that so many others also seem to talk about at this stage either - maybe down the track a bit). For those who are interested in going deeper into how translations are put together, this is an excellent resource.
