I have this bible in both hardcover and ebook versions. I bought the ebook first, which was challenging to navigate with the hyperlinks. However, the hardback version doesn't have this problem and is amazing! The amount of historical context given is very interesting and helped me understand the bible more. I highly recommend it in either format.

A Bible that takes you on an amazing journey
I was first hesitant to read a chronological Bible but once I have started, I loved it so much. The bible walks you through the different events in the time order. I found it so interesting. This book is ideal for people that intend to read the bible within a year or two. I was totally fascinated when I could see how the psalms were woven into the history and I could hear David's heart crying out to God in his beautiful psalms for help as he was surrounded by the enemy. I found him in mitten his battle and I also fall in love with his praises songs after the victory. The psalms have so much more power than you read them alone in the book of psalm. I can highly recommend reading the chronical bible as it unfolds the event of God's plan in order. I could not put down the bible for long, as this bible has made my soul and spirit so thirsty to know more about God's nature and his saving plan for us. I finished the entire bible within 6 months.

Must-have
Context is so important when reading the bible (particularly the OT books), and this bible puts it all into context with its chronological ordering of the books of the bible and commentary in footnotes and boxes for extra help. Additionally NLT is one of the easier versions to read. Full colour so it's also pleasant on the eyes. It's thick and heavy, so it's not for bringing to church every Sunday, but definitely essential for keeping at home for personal bible study. Not that many chronological bibles out there, but this with its extra commentary and NLT translation definitely won for me.
