Great accessible read. Highly recommended
This book is a great read if you are interested in going deeper into your bible study and really learning how to have a better understanding of what you're reading.
I found Faith's YouTube channel this year and love her way of exploring the bible, and explaining how to go deeper in your study and understanding of the bible. When I learnt she had a book coming out I pre-ordered immediately.
This book is a wonderfully accessible, easy to read and understand exploration of why we want to better understand what we're reading, - context , literature type, why it was written, what it tells me about god etc - and how to do that.
Faith works hard at making her book (and YouTube videos) accessible and relatable for everyone and every denomination.
I read the book in a day, and will definitely be re-reading multiple times as it's so rich in content and there's so much to explore and absorb, while maintaining an easy to read feel.
Not heavy or dense reading.
I also recommend checking out Faith's YouTube channel bible nerd as I think she has loads great content about how to study the bible, short bible study with me videos to help explore in practice different resources and ideas for going deeper in your study, and loads of interesting ideas for bible journalling and notes. A great companion to this wonderful book.
