In this busy age, the pace and stresses of a publicly active life can leave us with no time for the inner life. But for Christians, the latter is essential for public effectiveness. This updated classic equips readers to cultivate private spiritual integrity and live 'from the inside out'.**Has anyone...

**Has anyone seen my time? I've misplaced it.**

We have schedule planners, computerized calendars, smart phones, and sticky notes to help us organize our business and social lives every day. But what about organizing the other side of our lives?the spiritual side?

One of the great battlegrounds is within the private world of the individual. The values of our Western culture would have us believe the busy, publicly active person in ministry is also the most spiritual. Tempted to give imbalanced attention to the public world at the expense of the private, we become involved in more programs, more meetings. Our massive responsibilities at home, work, and church have resulted in many good people on the verge of collapse.

In this updated classic *Ordering Your Private World*, Gordon MacDonald equips a new generation to live life from the inside out, cultivating the inner victory necessary for public effectiveness.

"With much enthusiasm I recommend this book to all of you who, like me, need order in your private world."

?Charles Swindoll, Chancellor, Dallas Theological Seminary

"This book was the primary instrument that God used to motivate me to integrate spiritual disciplines into my daily walk with Christ ... I shudder to think where I'd be today had I not read it."

?Bill Hybels, Senior pastor, Willow Creek Community Church

    A Must Read

I recently re-read Gordon MacDonald's Ordering Your Private World. The first time I read it must have been more than 10 years ago. Then, I already found this book to be tremendously helpful. This time round, with the experience and maturity that comes with age and, not to mention, the many mistakes made along the way, I found this book to be even more invaluable. The older I get, the greater the need I feel to order my inner world more and more, and MacDonald has proven to be a great help, especially in helping me to distinguish between a driven vs a called life and also pursuing a life of growth. This is a book that every Christian should read, especially those serving in leadership positions whether in the local church or corporate world. Highly recommended.

    Busy? Sinking? Read this!

It's remarkably easy to lose time by pursuing the wrong things. \\r\\nIn this 192-page, easy-to-read gem, Gordon MacDonald outlines the difference between 'driven' and 'called', and how the former leads to disaster where the latter leads to peace and productivity.
